Uncut posted some more details about the upcoming Danny & Dusty album.
The album will be produced by JD Foster (Calexico, Richmond Fontaine, and Richard Buckner) and contributors will be
Chris Cacavas[i],
Stephen McCarthy[i],
Bob Rupe[i], and
Johnny Hott[i].
Steve Wynn and Dan Stuart caught exiting the legendary Brill Building where they are writing material for a new Danny and Dusty record. Says Dan "we kinda go from broom closet to broom closet... love the acoustics." Steve won't discuss what happened in the elevator with Paul Simon but claims he's still a fan.
Smack Dab (Steve Wynn, Linda Pitmon and Paco Loco) have a MySpace page where you can check out 4 tunes from their upcoming album. Be prepared for some good tunes. Dancing shoes may be handy....

8.14.08: George Pelecanos readings backed by Steve and band
The Magnetic Field cocktail lounge (Brooklyn, NY) will house a special evening with crime writer Geroge Pelecanos and Steve Wynn with band on August 8, 2006.
Steve Wynn with band will be playing instrumental music behind George Pelecanos's readings from his sson to be published novel "The Night Gardener". And they will play a set on their own too.
With the release of the new novel (The Night Gardener) by George Pelecanos, a CD is available where Steve Wynn plays instrumental music, while George reads the first chapter of his book. Also on the CD is Cindy, It Was Always You[s], tyhe cowrite between Wynn and Pelecanos from ...tick...tick...tick

The debut of "Welcome To The New Regime," an outtake from the 2005 "...tick...tick...tick" sessions is available exclusively at MySpace as a free download. MySpace is a cool new place to find other music fans and also a very good place to spread the word about the music you love. It's free and easy to sign up and Steve tells us that this might be the first of a series of free downloads during 2006. Check it out.

Some very sad news. Bryan Harvey, former singer and guitar player in the
bands House Of Freaks and Gutterball, his wife Kathryn and their two
young daughters Stella and Ruby were killed on January 1st in their home
in Richmond Virginia.
